ESU Science Conference
In March 2005 and with the support of the Lindemann Trust Fellowship Committee, the English-Speaking Union held a one day conference entitled English & the Communication of Science as a response to Science week. The conference audience was made up of eminent scientists, linguists, science educators and communicators who enjoyed a stimulating day involving talks and panel discussions. Key note speakers included Sir David King Chief Scientific advisor to the Government, Professor Sir Roger Penrose a distinguished member of the Lindemann Committee, Professor Alison Richard Vice-Chancellor of Cambridge University and Professor David Crystal ESU Governor and world authority on the English language.
