Capitol Hill Programme

Every year the ESU Centre for Speech and Debate selects up to ten undergraduates at British universities to intern in the offices of senators or congressmen in Washington D.C. The ESU provides official visa support and arranges accommodation for the interns. This programme is run as an exchange with the Catholic University of America in Washington DC, who, together with ESU Washington DC, provide an in-depth orientation to allow participants to integrate into the city’s unique way of life. In exchange, the ESU offers support to students from the Catholic University of America who intern in the offices of British MPs at Westminster, on placements arranged by Sir Patrick Cormack MP.
Applications for summer 2010 internships are now open. Click here for more information on how to apply.
