Speech & Debate Squad
International ESUs are able to take advantage of the ESU’s global expertise in public speaking and debating by hosting tours of the ESU Speech and Debate Squad. Drawn from the ESU’s pool of trained mentors at UK universities, Squad members support the national work of ESUs by coaching, judging and demonstrating public speaking and debating skills. Support is also available to help international ESUs to select a national schools debate team for their country and send them to the World Schools Debating Championships, of which the ESU is the founding sponsor.
